Personalized ratings for travellers

Why should a professional travel journalist be more trustworthy than the travelleres themselves? One of my favorite ressources for "hot" places to go and great hotels to stay is I go to Travelpost - the "independent source for personalized ratings" for places to stay. And they also have Travel Journals, kind of a Flickr for travelers, It allows people to upload photos, journal entries, iteneraries, and build travel maps that can be shared with other people.
