Oversensitive, sun-addled L.A. men

Great column in the L.A. Times. A woman is the thirties posted a personal ad on Craigslist: "Is there a man in L.A. in his 30s who knows what he wants to be when he grows up?", she asked. Her condition for the blind date: "My only physical requirement is this mystery man must be taller than 5'10". No disrespect to the vertically challenged, but I don't like guys talking to my nipples." The reaction was rather worrysome. She received tons of emails in which short man complained about her requirements. Shortly after that he posted the same ad also on Craigslist New York. The reactions were overwhemly positive. Her conclusion: "Sun-soaked and self- absorbed, the Angelenos were caught up in the pursuit of nonexistent perfection.(...) The New Yorkers were more based in reality. Perhaps Craigslist can develop free, online counseling for the L.A. community."
